Red Deer RCMP charge people for violating public health order at Red Deer Walk for Freedom rally

Red Deer RCMP charged two people for violating the city’s mask bylaw when they participated in Red Deer’s Walk for Freedom rally.

Red Deer RCMP say five more people will be charged for breaching the city’s public health order.

“This rally was identified as a potential super-spreader event by Alberta Health Services,” said RCMP Inspector Holly Glassford. “At the rally, speakers and attendees were issued violation notices based on their actions at the rally. Names can be released when they enter the public record.”
